Gateway to Technology (GTT) is an activity-oriented program designed to challenge and engage the natural curiosity of middle school students.Taught in conjunction with a rigorous academic curriculum, the program is divided into six independent, nine week units.

 

 

GATEWAY TO TECHNOLOGY BASIC: JULY 05th - JULY 16th

 

 

Design and Modeling

 

This unit uses solid modeling software to introduce students to the design process. Utilizing this design approach, students create models and documentation to solve problems.

 

Automation and Robotic

 

Automation and Robotic explores the history and development of automation and robotics while teching students about mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control.

 

Energy and the Environment

 

Students investigate the importance of energy in our lives and the impact that using energy has on the environment. Students will evaluate ways to reduce energy consumption through energy efficiency and waste management techniques.
